This special place has been designed from the very outset to be "a different kind of resort" only minutes from Ubud center. Waka di Ume has been operated since 1995. To begin with, it has been designed to be small and intimate; only sixteen dwellings eleven in the lanai style, two villas and three suites.

Each positioned in its own way to maximize the feeling of privacy and personal space. It is an escape from the modern world. Away from television, away from radio and even away from telephone, if you wish.

Swimming Pool
A two level swimming pool adjacent to the panoramic rice terrace gives you an opportunity to feel the cool breeze while lay down on pool chair under the palm trees. Having light meal, reading books or sunning that you can do in this area. The water is salty, keep cool either in the day.

The Medition Room (Open for 24 Hours)
There is a spacious meditation area, with a small library of books on Balinese culture, where you can go at any time you like. This building, which also includes massage service areas, acts as a buffer between your dwelling and the two temple-like swimming pools. The resort is so quiet and peaceful, you are hardly ever conscious of any other guests. If you would like to enjoy the extra relaxation of a Traditional Balinese Massage, please contact our receptionist, who will organize the masseur at a time that suits.

Dining and Entertaining
The two level restaurant is in the main building at the entrance to the resort. It has 40 seats and fives your commanding views over the countryside and an unequalled vantage point to watch the brilliant colors of the setting sun. The menu offers you a combination of wonderful Balinese specialties and some more familiar western dishes.
